01SAP Evaluation
Comprehensive DOT-compliant substance abuse evaluation required for commercial drivers following a DOT drug or alcohol violation. Conducted by a federally qualified SAP.
Initial evaluation, clinical assessment, and education/treatment recommendations per 49 CFR Part 40.
02Follow-Up Testing
Mandatory follow-up drug and alcohol testing program coordination as required by DOT regulations after completing the SAP-recommended treatment.
Minimum 6 tests in the first 12 months, with ongoing monitoring and compliance documentation.
03Return-to-Duty
Final SAP evaluation confirming successful completion of all recommended education or treatment — the last step before returning to safety-sensitive duties.
Return-to-duty letter issued upon successful compliance, accepted by all DOT-regulated employers.
